Our Tours

Just seven months after the choir held its first rehearsal, it competed in two categories of the World Choir Games in Cincinnati, earning silver and bronze medals during its first annual tour.

Eager to be an internationally performing choir, the Viking choir toured Germany, Italy, and Austria for three weeks. The highlight was visiting Venice and  singing in St. Mark’s Basilica.

It was time to introduce the upper Midwest to the North Star Boys' Choir, so the tour was much closer to home.  The boys had a great time visiting places like Mount Rushmore.

The Viking Choir headed southwest into Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma bringing their beautiful voices to new territory.  The boys enjoyed learning about new places. 

It was back to Europe with a new generation of boys.  The choir had concerts in Germany, France, and Austria during their three week tour.

The highlight  was visiting two Austrian choirs.

The Mississippi River's headwaters are  in Minnesota.  In 2017, The Viking Choir followed the River down to Louisiana during the 2017 Big River tour.  The highlight was riding a paddlewheeler. 

The Viking Choir boarded the Royal Caribbean cruise boat Enchantment of the Seas for a three-day cruise and competition as part of their three week tour.  They enjoyed the Bahamas.

The Viking Choir returned to Europe for another visit, and were excited to add Switzerland to their itinerary. For many of the boys, this was their first trip to another country.

After staying home in 2020 due to the pandemic, the Viking Choir was excited to get back on the road and have a small tour to South Dakota. They enjoyed Wall Drug and Mount Rushmore.

The Viking and Kantorei boys took their music to Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska in a celebration of our 10,000 lakes. A highlight was opening for the Haygoods in Branson, MO.

The first international trip since the pandemic, the choir was thrilled to meet up with the St. Florian Boys’ Choir and watching a yodeling contest and listening to an alp horn.
